Just how humane these exotic dancers are. I had a heart to heart talk with an exotic dancer in a strip joint in Toronto. She told me she have a kid and staying with her mom. She is 22 years old and the kid is 5 years old. I asked her if her mom knows what she is doing. She told me that her mom does knows that she is working as a waitress in a restaurant. She is in need of money and for this she dances in the evening after her day shift work as a waiter. Life is pretty hard for her as she is the sole breadwinner. I asked her whether she like what she is doing. She says she has no other choice and wanna see her kid grow up well educated. She hates to be a strip dancer. She had a fairly good education and is a Canadian of Romanian birth. All she wanted is a good life to lead but the environment here seems to tough for her to enter into a good job. I felt so sad for these poor girls who have dreams and wanna lead a good life. Again, she fears as she gets older, she need to look elsewhere for a living and to get rid her poverty state of life.
Can government do anything for these unfortunate sister? Can the United Nations do to solve these social problems? Can the philanthropist do something for these unfortunate sisters whose dreams are fading day by day?
I had to leave the place with a heavy heart. Imagine, the women in Africa and Asia. Aren't they worse off then their sisters in the industrialised countries?
How do you feel about this.
